O incidente deu – se esta manha
nas minas de ouro de Muaja no distrito de Ancuabe em cabo Delgado.Das cerca de 15 pessoas previamenta dadas como mortas segundo nossas fontes no terreno, mais tarde constatou-se que apenas quatro perderam a vida, facto que veio a ser reconfirmado por uma televisao local que referia-se que 25 pessoas continuavam desaparecidas na mina que mais tarde veio a ser oficialmente fechada. Mas que os garimpeiros continuam a frequentar a mina
Entre os mortos, encontram-se
Tanzanianos e maioritariamente Moçambicanos que exercem as suas actividades de
garimpo naquela área.
Ainda ontem, após presença policial
que culminou em tiroteio, a nossa reportagem visitou o campo de mineração onde
juntamente com outros garimpeiros permaneceu sobe a superfície da mina que hoje
desabou. Na altura mais de 100 garimpeiros encontravam se no túnel de entre 7 a
9 metros de profundidade e, mais de 25 de cumprimento ‘ corcunda.”
Sirenes, buzinas- carros,
motas, pessoas a pé, tudo e todos movimentam -se em alvoroço para o centro da
mina
Com o medo da brutalidade, como a que ocorre nas minas de
rubis por parte das Forças de Conservação Ambiental e Terra do Ministro Celso Correia
(MITADER), as pessoas da ou na comunidade, tem medo de ir a mina socorrer as
vitimas.
Uma das vítimas da brutalidade da Forca, em
conversa com a nossa reportagem no dia 20/08/16, um dia antes da tragedia
enfatizou que a Força do (MITADER) que esteve na mina durante os últimos três
dias estava prestes a voltar ao terreno. “Disseram que vão voltar hoje as 19h. Então,
como não estão aqui, nós todos estamos a aproveitar cavar e fugir daqui antes
de eles voltarem. Só hoje de manha, dispararam mais de 20 tiros”
Das cerca de quinze mortes a principio anunciadas pelas nossas fontes no terreno, desde mineradores artesanais ilegais -Garimpeiros, pessoas da communidade, uma das televisoes locais, ainda na manha de hoje reportava do local e, referia-se a 4 mortes e cerca de 25 garimpeiros desaparecidos na mina em questao!
Durante toda a operacao policial foram confiscadas dos taxistas, garimpeiros cerca de 27 motos, bicicletas foram apreendidas pela polícia moçambicana de Cabo Delgado ea mina foi fechada.

The
incident took place this morning in Muaja gold mines in Ancuabe district of
Cabo Delgado.
From the 15 people previous reported dead according to our sources on the ground, later it was found that only four lost their lives, and this was later reconfirmed by a local television which stated that 25 people were still missing in the mine, later it came to be officially closed. But the miners continue to dig.

the dead are Tanzanians and Mozambicans-Majority carrying out their mining
activities in the area.
Just
yesterday, after police presence which culminated in shooting, our report
visited the mining camp where together with other miners remained up the
surface of the mine that collapsed today. At the time over 100 miners were
inside the shaft between 7 and 9 meters in depth, and more than
25 long 'hunchback. "
